Today we unpacked our new unit including the first assessment. "Pool Angles" will be assessing your understanding of adjacent, vertical, complementary, and supplementary angles as well as determining the missing angle of a triangle.

Homework for today: page 136 Questions 1-8 "Getting Ready Unit 4". This should warm your skills up for the coming weeks.

SS- Assessment Part 2

You are writing a summary of Siddhartha's Life/Buddhism, including the 4 Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path.  Your summary of Siddhartha's life must include 5 parts:
  • Birth of a Prince 
  • Royal Life 
  • Witness to Suffering
  • Life as an Ascetic
  • Reaching Enlightenment
You can choose to organize your information in a number of ways.  Some ideas include: 
  • Written in paragraph form
  • Pictures with captions
  • Timeline
  • Roadmap
  • Concept Map
  • Flow Chart
In order to exceed the standard, you must also include one or more paragraphs explaining how Buddhism influenced life in India.

ELA Wednesday's Class

Today your myth's 1st Draft was due.  Here's what you did:

1.  Made a copy and renamed it Draft 2
2.  Used assigned colors for each section and highlighted the paragraphs:  exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution.
3.  Made a decision about what you needed to do next in the writing process:  revisions, illustrations, etc.

Final Drafts Due Friday
