Owl Moon

"It was late one winter night, long past my bedtime, when Papa and I went owling. There was no wind. The trees stood still as giant statues. And the moon was so bright the sky seemed to shine. Somewhere behind us a train whistle blew, long and low, like a sad, sad song. "

Memorial Day Celebration in Hancock

Is there someone who would be willing to be a speaker at this event?  You could even partner with someone together in Google docs and write one. You would write a speech to commemorate those men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Services.  The holiday is a federal one and we celebrate it on the last Monday in May.

Last year the people in town thought the celebration was the best one of all because of the participation of HGS students. Pretty cool.
