I am sending my nephew Mike a care package.  Mike is a sargeant in the Army and the lead officer of a Striker Unit in a dangerous and remote region of Afghanistan.  It's his 3rd deployment; he is a new daddy and his wife Caroline is pregnant with their second.  My homeroom class and I were discussing the idea of making fudge and sending letters to Mike and his fellow soldiers.  If anyone would like to make a batch of fudge and share half,  I'll send it to Mike and his buddies. Mike said they love love love fudge and I know it's easy to ship and does not spoil.

"I miss my Family! But I have been receiving an amazing amount of support from so many family and friends. My men and I really do appreciate the support and I want you all to know that a box of anything or a letter will lift the spirits of a Soldier that is otherwise miserable at the time. If you could only see it first hand..... Thank you!"   Mike Rowland

I hope we do better next time.
