Thank you

During our Veterans' Day Assembly, Nikyla will play "Taps." Thank you, Nikyla!  We hear it will be an Echo Taps performance.  How fitting for our remembrance ceremony for Veterans.

Did you know that the music was written by a Union General in the Civil War?  Additionally, according to Wikipedia, there is one original set of lyrics meant to accompany the music, written by Horace Lorenzo:

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky
All is well, safely rest
God is nigh.
Fading light dims the sight
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright
From afar, drawing near
Falls the night.
Thanks and praise for our days
Neath the sun, neath the stars, neath the sky
As we go, this we know
God is nigh.

Sarah, Sean, and Hayden, THANK YOU  for your SoLo performances!!

Thank you, to the Chorus and Band members for your contributions to the ceremony!  We are fortunate to have our musicians who are devoting their time and effort to bring MUSIC to our lives at HGS.
