Homework 10/31

Math:  Students are to finish their mystery coordinate picture. This is an assessment of their graphing skills, following direction skills, and time management skills. It will be a quiz grade and it is due TOMORROW! 

Science:  read pages C3-C5
ELA:  write an entry about your day, include times (like Catherine, Called Birdy) due monday
Social Studies:  Acrostic poem updated - keep in mind imagery, syntax, and formatting.  This is due before class thursday.

A lot about pirates in our modern day movies like Pirates of the Caribbean comes from the classic book Treasure Island. Treasure chests and maps, sword play, walking the plank, rum drinking, eye patches, peg legs, cut throats, and Argggggg, me maties!

HGS Soccer Update

The championship game went into overtime(sudden death) with the score at 1-1. So the next team to score wins...Lauren shot the last penalty kick in the game and made it in!!!! WE WON!!!! RSU 24 CHAMPIONS!! The score ended to be 1-2, Great job Hancock:))))

We won our playoff game on Monday against Mountain View!!! The score was 5-2. Our next game is tonight... the Championship Game against Steuben:) It is taking place at Sumner High School! Hope to see you there:)

HGS Soccer Update

Our game on Wednesday went awesome! We won 4-1 against Mountain View:) Our next game is the first game in the play-offs, it is taking place here, at Hancock. We are in FIRST PLACE! Hope to see you all there:)

Coastal Championchips Results

Our boys came in 10th over all.
Our only runner who placed was Hayden.
Good job, Hayden!
Our Girls did better;   Three of the girls placed.
Destiny, Haley, and Katelyn all made the top 60.
Overall the girls placed 4th.

HGS Soccer Update

Our game went awesome! We were tied at the end of the game at 2-2. When we went into sudden death, the next team to score the goal wins, the second 5 minute half...we got a goal!!! Our next game is on Wednesday at Hancock, against Mountain View. Hope to see you there:)

You are 1/2 way through 1st trimester!!  Mrs. Leighton is looking at several assessments to see how you are progressing in reading:  Reading Record, Daily Check in, Quotables, Inventories, DoJo, and she needs your viewpoint.  Next week you will be drafting a formal piece about your reading progress.  For now though, jump into your WN and Quickwrite all the thoughts and feelings you have about your reading progress.  Go for a full page or more.
